Congratulations to 2017’s Most Valuable Coach, Luis Ayala of Foxcroft Academy in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. Thousands of coaches were nominated, and your votes helped us choose the winner. Foxcroft Academy has received a $50,000 grant in Coach Ayala’s name, awarded by U.S. Cellular and Samsung.

U.S. Cellular, in partnership with Samsung, has awarded $5,000 to each of the Final 15 coaches’ schools, and a $50,000 community grant in honor of this year’s Most Valuable Coach.

Kurt Warner

Michael Cage

Former NBA champion-turned-broadcaster Michael Cage has been elected to three halls of fame throughout his career, and recently won an Emmy Award for television sports broadcasting.

Tony Caridi

Emmy Award-winning sportscaster Tony Caridi has delivered West Virginia’s most popular play-by-play commentary for 22 years, and has hosted a nightly statewide sports talk show since 1986.
